The Alchemist
The Alchemist Pub and Brewery is located in downtown Waterbury, Vermont and has become a favoite place for locals and tourists alike. The owners, John and Jen, have decked their walls with an ecletic mix of art from local artists. Unfortuntly they took a hit from Irene in August of 2011 when the pub flooded along with numberous homes and businesses in town. The good new is that they will be back and are currently in the rebuilding process. John and Jen also recently opened up a cannery just up the street from the pub that offers their tasty beers in cans so you won't have to wait for the reopening of the restaurant (currently targeted for sometime in December 2011). Along with Alchemist beer the cannery's retail shop offers many items from the artists that have shown in the pub.In 2008 the Jen asked if I would be interested in painting their brew tank. Since then the tank has sat in the window looking out onto Main Street in Waterbury. One side is blue (facing the street) and the other green. There are a few fun suprises on the tank so if you happen sit next to it next time your eating, take a look inside the little portals on the top. The tank is currently at the cannery until the pub reopens. In addition to the brew tank, Rachel has some of her paintings from the bones series on display.

Piecasso
Piecasso is located on the mountain road in Stowe, Vermont. Piecasso is famous for its local following, friendly atmosphere, and great music. Piecasso is perfect for people of all ages, both couples and families (we have a great kids menu for coloring). Look for Ed, Patrick, or Anna spinning pies behind the counter in the open-kitchen! Relax, drink a local beer, and experience the great tasting food of Piecasso.
Rachel has several pieces on display as part of Piecasso's permanent collection. Rachel painted 5 pieces in the style of the famous artist Pablo Picasso and added her own twist creating "pizzafied" Picasso's. Some of her designs are available on t-shirts currently on sale at the restaurant. Piecasso has used the paintings for menu covers and even television commercials (see video below). Perhaps the most impressive piece is the Four Musicians sculpture that has become the centerpiece for the restaurants bar area. Each musicians stands about 4 feet high and were designed with various types of material including wood, tile, glass metal, cloth and found objects.
